Can You Be Too Confident?

By Linda on March 25, 2022

Can You Be Too Confident?

Confidence can make you feel good about yourself – “able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.” But, can too much confident make you arrogant? While confidence is becoming, arrogance can undermine what you’re striving to achieve. A bit of humility can go a long way to increase your attractiveness and make your true confidence stand out. Let’s take a look at Can You Be Too Confident?

Sometimes the line between confidence and arrogance becomes blurred. Before you do more damage to your reputation than good, there are some things you should ask yourself about you may come across to others. We’re going to take a look at some of them in this post.

Would you like to listen to Can You Be Too Confident?… While you go on with something else?

Whether you would like to follow along or listen to the audio while going on with something else, I’ve got you covered.

Please note there is a meditation inside the audio:

Let’s continue with Can You Be Too Confident?

Let’s take a look at the things you should ask yourself about you may come across to others.

Do you make eye contact?

If you avoid making eye contact with others, you could project the image of being interested in only yourself. Confident people make eye contact and are interested unequivocally in the conversation taking place.

Are you always late?

Being consistently late indicates a lack of respect for others. Your time isn’t more important than everyone else’s. If you’re a confident person, you’re on time or apologize when you run into a snag.

Do you bully others by being condescending?

Calling others “stupid,” and downplaying their successes doesn’t make you look confident – it makes you look like a bully. Eventually, you’ll lose all respect from others.

Do you “one-up” others during conversations?

Trying to show your superiority over others by one-upping is actually a turn-off to others. You don’t look more superior – you look desperate for attention.

Do you blame others for your mistakes?

If you’re arrogant, you don’t like to “lose,” and will blame others rather than take the fall for your own mistakes.

Are you a “name-dropper?”

Confident leaders don’t brag endlessly about whom they know or met or are friends with. It’s perfectly okay at times to bring your famous friend into the mix of conversation, but consistently dropping names makes you seem fake.

Do you know the answer to “everything?”

Arrogant people will invent an answer to a question or problem rather than admitting to not knowing. The confident person will admit he or she doesn’t know the answer, but will vow to find a solution.

Do you truly listen to others?

Some people interrupt others because they’re only concerned about what they want to say and push others into the background. They don’t listen and they always look around the room for someone else to talk to.

Conclusion to Can You Be Too Confident?

The fine line between confidence and arrogance can be difficult to maneuver – especially if you’re overly confident. Monitor your actions and words and remember that when you’re confident, you’re an inspiration to others. If you’re arrogant, others are repulsed and turned-off by your words and actions.

How to Be Happier in Your Own Skin

By Linda on January 24, 2022

How to Be Happier in Your Own Skin

You can change many things about your life, but your skin is not one of them. This is why you need to learn to be happier in your own skin. The problem is, this is often much easier said than done. Below are a few ways you can learn to be happier in the body you have.

Or maybe you want to listen to the audio

Either while you’re busy with something else of to follow along in the article, so here it is too:

That said, let’s move over to How to Be Happier in Your Own Skin…

Develop Positive Affirmations

Grab a stack of sticky notes and write down all the things you love about yourself. Then place these sticky notes in places where you will find them later. These places could be on your mirror, in your wallet, or even around your desk at work. Then every time you see them, you can be reminded of what an amazing person you are.

Quit Scrolling Social Media

Social media creates unrealistic expectations of the human body. If you feel uncomfortable in your skin because of social media, it’s time to stop participating. Instead, it would be best to find more body-positive media to engage in, such as books, music, and TV shows that make you feel great about who you are.

Work On Your Body Language

Believe it or not, your body language can play a huge part in feeling comfortable in your own skin. Every time you find yourself hunched over with your arms folded, how does this make you feel? Not very good, right? Exactly. It’s time to walk with your shoulders pulled back, and your head held high—you’ll be surprised by how much this small change affects your mood.

Ensure You Love The Clothes You Wear

If you are wearing clothes which don’t make you feel comfortable in your own skin, then it’s time to get clothes that do! Aim to find clothes that fit you and are flattering for your body. This will help ensure you feel great about yourself. It can help if, while you are shopping, you resolve not to look at the sizes and rather try on things that look like they will fit you and decide from there.

Conclusion on How to Be Happier in Your Own Skin

Being happier in your own skin is a lifelong journey that almost everyone on this earth must take. But you can make this task easier on yourself by developing positive affirmations, quitting social media, working on your body language, and buying clothes that make you feel confident.  Just don’t forget that being positive about yourself and your body ultimately must come from within.
