Projecting Confidence – Even if You Don’t Feel It

By Linda on May 9, 2022

Projecting Confidence – Even if You Don’t Feel It

Confidence is the most important personality trait you can develop in order to better deal with life’s transitions – both personal and professional – and to take risks to ensure your continued success. Let’s look at how you can start Projecting Confidence – Even if You Don’t Feel It

Projecting Confidence – Even if You Don’t Feel It
This Image was created with Canva (aff)

But, before we continue, would you rather watch

Projecting Confidence – Even if You Don’t Feel It on Video

If you would rather watch the video than read the content, I’ve got you covered. You can watch the video below:

Or maybe you want to listen to Projecting Confidence – Even if You Don’t Feel It

If you want to read along or continue making dinner or doing something else while listening, here is the audio for you:

Some ways to project confidence, even if you don’t feel it, include:

Be optimistic –

Do you see the glass as half-empty or half-full? If you see the glass as half-empty, you’re likely not an optimist and could experience feelings of low self-worth and doubts. Seeing the glass as half-full places you in the “optimist” category and shows that you look for opportunity rather than failure.

Don’t take yourself too seriously –

When you allow yourself to loosen up and enjoy life, you’re more relaxed in demeanor and most people find that refreshing. Most of us have to deal with stress and intense situations every day, so to be around someone who can relax is a real pleasure and can garner admiration.

Pay attention to others –

Making eye contact and listening intently to those you’re engaged with is a must when attempting to project confidence. If you constantly look around the room or up at the ceiling when you’re conversing, you seem less trustworthy and less like someone who demands admiration.

Dress the part –

Whatever you want to succeed at in life requires a certain look. Want to rise to a CEO level in your company? Stop dressing in jeans and t-shirts. Show others – with your looks – that you’re ready to step into the position, even if you’re much lower on the ladder.

Watch your language –

When you speak, speak clearly and watch your own language to be sure you’re not using buzz words or contradictory language or interject phrases such as “you know…” That’s referred to as “conversational clutter” and should be avoided at all cost.

Accept and give compliments –

Accept compliments about your accomplishments gracefully and give compliments to others when warranted. Accepting compliments show that you realize the value in what you’ve done and giving compliments show that you consider yourself a good judge of character.

Conclusion to Projecting Confidence – Even if You Don’t Feel It

Projecting a certain amount of confidence, even when you don’t feel it, shows that you’re ready to meet challenges head-on. Sometimes, we don’t yet have the knowledge or skills it takes to perform at the top of the game, but you can project determination and enthusiasm to meet the challenge.

Life Coaching: 6 Things to Consider

By Linda on March 31, 2022

Life coach 6 things to consider

Identifying which life coaches are high-quality and just out for a quick buck can be highly challenging. There are many factors to consider. Such as, do you prefer online or in-person? How much can you afford? How often do you wish to meet? Furthermore, how can you choose the right coach for you? This guide aims to demystify the process, assist you in finding the right life coach, and prepare you to find the more beneficial coach for your specific needs. Learn more in this post about Life Coaching: 6 Things to Consider.

Watch Life Coaching: 6 Things to Consider

If you would rather watch this post on video, you can take a look at the video below. Although in the video I also have a meditation and share more about the FlowHub7 in there too.

Or listen to Life Coaching 6 Things to Consider in audio

Here is the audio of the video above if you would prefer listening to it. Just a little warning, there is a meditation in it as well.

Make Sure A Life Coach Is What You Are Looking For

It’s easy to get life coaches confused with other healers and support persons, like mentors and therapists. It’s essential to understand what a life coach is and what they do. Life coaches focus on the future, addressing long-term and short-term goals you may have. Coaches encourage positively focused ways to explore opportunities and create sustainable change.

Ultimately, a coach will help individuals arrive at solutions and the needed actions to achieve their goals. Accountability is also a considerable benefit of coaching. Any roadblock you may encounter along the way can also be addressed and overcome with a life coach.

Assess their level of training and certification

Well-trained coaches apply evidence-based coaching models based on scientific research. The coaches must undergo an in-depth training program to learn these research and techniques. There is very little regulation or governance of the coaching industry compared to therapy. Anyone can call themselves a coach regardless of whether they have been through a training program.

There is an organization called the International Coach Federation (ICF). Coaches’ training programs are accredited by this organization, ensuring they meet specific standards. Find out which training program the life coach has completed and whether it is certified by the ICF before meeting them. See if they have continued their training through other certifications. Choosing a coach that is active in educating themselves is a positive sign that they are knowledgeable and dedicated to their skill.

Ask them about their coaching style & methodologies

Depending on their training and personality, each life coach coaches differently. For example, the coaching sessions of some coaches are very organized and structured, but those of others are more open and free-form. In addition, coaching can come in different forms, some warm and supportive, some more contentious and challenging. Evaluate your personality to determine which one would be most supportive for you.

It is crucial to determine if their style matches your needs before hiring a life coach. First, consider asking your potential coach how they would describe their coaching style, and then think whether that is the type of guidance you need to accomplish your goals at this point in your life.

Be sure your coach is using proven coaching techniques and methodologies. You’ll achieve your goals if your sessions are practical. Each coach will use various procedures based on their niche and client needs.

Have a Consultation with the Coach

Most life coaches offer a free consultation to meet and determine if working together is a good fit. Through a conversation, you can discover if their style and methodologies will benefit you. It’s also important to consider if you feel safe and at ease while talking with them. Safety is an essential key when doing inner self-improvement work.

Coaching can allow you to dive deep and accomplish your dreams, making it very important for a coach to be non-judgmental. It’s okay if you don’t resonate with a specific coach. During a consultation, try on the relationship and see how it feels to work with them to learn how it works. They may be a great coach but not the right coach for you, and that’s okay!

If you would like to book a free consultation with me, you can do that through my Calendly link below:

What Programs to they offer?

Do they have a certain program that you follow or do you go session by session and pay for each session?

Evaluate your experience and interactions with them

After you interact or work with your coach, it’s essential to evaluate how you feel and how you think they performed afterward. Most coaches will ask you, “How do you think today’s session went” before ending the session to get any feedback for ways to improve your time together.

Also, consider these few things as well:
Do they follow up with you promptly?
Do they provide or offer resources that are beneficial to you?
Do their business values align with yours?
Do you feel valued as a client and not just a number?

Well-trained coaches greatly care about your experience and whether or not you are benefiting from working with them. Coach dedicated to their craft, are always interested in improving. While it’s impossible to please everyone all the time, great coaches know there is always room to improve.

Conclusion to Life Coaching: 6 Things to Consider

Life coaching can open up a world of possibilities for people struggling to achieve personal or professional goals. Coaching can help you achieve your goals in a wide range of areas, from relationships to finances to health and spirituality. First, however, you must find one that works for you! Follow and trust your gut when finding the right person to help you reach your goals and overcome obstacles.

5 Ways to Weed Weakness Out of Your Life

5 Ways to Weed Weakness Out of Your Life

Everyone has weaknesses. We’re born with them. We grow with them. We lose them, develop them, and lose them all over again. It’s part of the growing experience. Join me for 5 Ways to Weed Weakness Out of Your Life in this post.

5 Ways to Weed Weakness Out of Your Life
This image was created with Canva (aff)

Would you like to watch the video on 5 Ways to Weed Weakness Out of Your Life?

Here is the video on YouTube. Although the framework is followed, in the video I also have a FlowCode exercise at 03:21 minutes as well as a story about one of my weaknesses, which is not in the post.

Or how about the audio of 5 Ways to Weed Weakness Out of Your Life

If you would like to listen to the audio while continuing with other stuff, here it is. But please note in the audio is also a breathing exercise as well as a story about one of my weaknesses that is not mentioned in this post and also more about the FlowCode.

Let’s continue with 5 Ways to Weed Weakness Out of Your Life…

So, if you’re trying to pass off your life as one with no weaknesses, you may be having a tough time. It takes time to get to a point where you graduate your attributes from weak ones to strong ones, but it is 100% possible. Start with a few solid ways to weed weakness out of your life.

Make it a Game

When you zoom out and think about your weaknesses, you can make a list out of it. Write them all down. Then, attack your list as if it were a to-do list. These are definitive attributes that can be improved or changed, so why not go for it?

Learn from Others

You are not alone here. You’re certainly not the only person who has had/will ever have this weakness. You have tons of people to look up to and learn from, so use this to your advantage. Find someone who has similar weaknesses or similar habits as you. Ask them questions. Learn from them. Then, apply it to your situation.

Think About What You Cannot See

Have you ever received criticism from someone and been completely shocked? Sometimes we don’t realize our weaknesses until it is brought to our attention. If you’re starting on a self-improvement project, try asking your friends and family what they think you can improve about yourself.

Take it a Step Further

Weaknesses are not surface level, so they shouldn’t be treated that way. If you have a hard time speaking in public, there is likely a deeper-seated issue causing that surface-level weakness. If you don’t like to do your work on time, there’s probably something triggering that. When you analyze your weaknesses, don’t just think about how you want to improve them. Think about why they are there in the first place. Ask yourself questions like “Why do I really feel this way?” or “Have I always felt this way?” Get to the crux of your weakness, and then work to crush it.

Recognize that Strengths Always Trump Weaknesses

No matter what your strengths are or what your weaknesses are, the good always trumps the bad. Don’t be too hard on yourself throughout this process. You have so many good things going for you, so don’t let yourself forget about those. When you’re asking your loved ones about your weaknesses, ask about your strengths. When you’re making a list of things you want to improve about yourself, make a list about the things you pride yourself on. Keep up the morale and push through!

6 Ways to Add Self-Care into a Busy Day

6 Ways to Add Self-Care into a Busy Day

Where do you fit into your day? You need to take time for self-care and you can by using these 6 Ways to Add Self-Care into a Busy Day.

6 Ways to Add Self-Care into a Busy Day

Would you like to watch the video of 6 Ways to Add Self-Care into a Busy Day

If you would rather watch a video, then this is for you.

Please Note: Included in this video is a meditation of under 2 minutes starting at 03:04 if you would like to listen to it.

Or listen to the audio of 6 Ways to Add Self-Care into a Busy Day

You can listen to the audio (which includes the meditation) below and follow along with the post if you wish:

Let’s move on with 6 Ways to Add Self-Care into a Busy Day…

If you’re like most people, you’re pretty busy. You’re already dealing with work, relationships, and a whole lot of day-to-day actions. You’re running in every direction at once. How in the world are you supposed to fit self-care into a day like that?

Thankfully, it’s easier than you think. Try these six ways to add self-care into your busy day.

1) Ask Some Important Questions

Self-care isn’t always about over-indulging yourself. Truly, at its core, self-care is more practical than you might think. You start by asking yourself what you need right now. Meeting these basic needs should be at the center of self-care.

2) Map it Out

Self-care is never going to just happen. Unless you are intentional, you will never make time for it. By making use of your calendar and scheduling time for yourself you are more likely to succeed in meeting your basic needs. Start small by building in the habits which will help you the most. You can begin by adding in regular exercise date several days a week, or by making a meal plan to help you eat healthier. As you achieve one goal, add in another. The key is not to overwhelm yourself all at once.

3) Figure Out What Comes First

How are you when it comes to priorities? If you’re like most people, just deciding where to begin can be difficult. Here you need to figure out the difference between important and urgent. If something is important and not urgent, you can add it to your schedule. If something is urgent and not important, give it to someone else to do. But if something is urgent and important, do this first.

4) Learn to Say “No”

You should never feel like you have to say “yes” to everything. Sometimes the best form of self-care is learning how to say “no.” By setting solid boundaries, you protect yourself from activities which will only leave you drained and give you no benefit at all.

5) Do the Small Stuff

We think the little things don’t matter, but they do. By ensuring you take care of the basics such as making sure you get enough sleep, practicing good hygiene, eating right, and exercising, you will keep your body in tiptop form. These things also have a solid impact on your mental health.

FLOW – A STATE WHERE EVERYTHING JUST FLOWS

You know that state we’re in, when we act with razor sharp focus, our confidence is overwhelmed with certainty, our body and mind adapts to the situation effortlessly. It’s in this state that we take giant steps in our level of fulfilment, moving in the direction that was previously not even dreamt off.
In it, we are completely dissolved in what we’re doing, so much that it feels like time is slowing down.
We’re so deeply in the present moment that we merge with activity itself, giving us the
overwhelming feeling of “being at one”. In that state there is ‘no doubt’, there are no stresses or
pressures, blocking us from achieving what we want. There is no inner voice criticizing every move
we make, we are completely immersed in the task at hand. This state is not elusive, this state is not mystical, it’s called the flow state …
When we are in flow, we are adjusting to reality cues, like riding a flow wave, we experience the
most desirable state we may find ourselves in. It’s about total trust and total absence of fear. A sense of extreme happiness, connectedness, and harmony pervades into your being.
You feel in tune with the task, moving with an accuracy and composure and fully enjoying every
second of it.

HOW TO START

By practicing more flow we internalize it and make it a reality. Start slowly and progress gradually, include at first one flow trigger per day … try different ones … then add two and use them in different situations to see how you react … then commit yourself to programs or trigger sets on daily basis. And so forth, until flow triggering activities become an integral part of your daily routine.
Gradually and in balanced increments you will experience more and more flow … you will experience how reality changes in flow … how perception of yourself changes … for the better … it becomes more fluid … and filled with meaning and purpose.

Conclusion to 6 Ways to Add Self-Care into a Busy Day

When we get busy, we tend to forget all of these things so easily. When you’re making an effort to take care of yourself, you have to be intentional in what you do. Remembering these tips will go a long way toward keeping you healthy and happy no matter how busy you get.
