4 Powerful Ways to Imagine Your Success into Reality

By Linda on March 10, 2022 0

4 Powerful Ways to Imagine Your Success into Reality

Everyone has big dreams. Everyone wants to be successful. Maybe you see yourself making an Oscars acceptance speech or winning the Nobel Prize. Perhaps you want to be a successful entrepreneur or an elite athlete. Or how about a successful author? In this post I share 4 Powerful Ways to Imagine Your Success into Reality for you to start taking control of your success today.

This image was created with Canva

Whether you want to be winning an Olympic medal or making your first million, you can use the power of visualization to make your dreams of success a reality.

But, before we continue with these 4 Powerful Ways to Imagine Your Success into Reality…

Would you rather watch the 4 Powerful Ways to Imagine Your Success into Reality on video?

Or listen to 4 Powerful Ways to Imagine Your Success into Reality audio?

If you would rather follow this post in audio, listen while you follow or while you’re busy with something else, this will help you:

Now, over to the 4 Powerful Ways to Imagine Your Success into Reality

Picture Yourself Winning

Just wanting to be successful isn’t enough. You have to be able to taste your success. Picture yourself being offered that promotion, being congratulated by friends and family, seeing your new business cards.
Make your success as real and detailed as you can. How good does it feel?

The Power of visualization

Find Your Trigger

Finding your own personal success trigger can be a powerful way to keep the momentum going and your energy high. Write down your big goal, whether it’s winning an Oscar or scholarship, or running your own business. Make it a positive statement that is straightforward and concise. For example, “I will be promoted to Vice President next year.” Or “I have a successful business.”

I would also suggest reading The Power of Neuroplasticity by Shad Helmsteter to learn more about self-talk and why it is so important.

Look at your trigger statement every day. Maybe make it your computer wallpaper or your smartphone’s lock screen.

When Jim Carrey was a young actor trying to make it big, he famously wrote himself a $10million check dated far into the future. When that day came, he was offered $10million for his role in Dumb and Dumber.
Remember that story when you see your trigger statement and think of how good it will feel to achieve your goal.

Create A Vision Board

Vision boards help to make your dreams concrete. You can use pictures, photos, affirmations, and quotes to create a picture of the life you want.

A vision board can be a poster, a Pinterest board, a whiteboard, or a journal. Make you sure you keep your vision board where you can see it every day and add to it when you need to or when you find a new photo or quote that really speaks to you.

Feed Your Dream

You can make your visualization even more potent by nourishing it with positivity. Don’t put all the good feelings in the future but feed your dream with happy memories. Think of times when you felt happy, successful, and content with your life.

These positive images reinforce to your mind that you have already proven you can have a happy, fulfilled life.

Keep negativity at bay by reminding yourself that you have done it, you are doing it, you can do it!

10-Minute Morning Routine That Will Get Your Day Started Off Right

By Linda on March 1, 2022 1

Most morning routines you find online take hours to complete. Thirty minutes of physical activity, three pages of Morning Pages, or twenty minutes of meditation. Most people do not have that kind of extra time in the morning. However, in only ten minutes, you can create a morning routine that will put you in the right mindset to conquer your day. Read below to learn a few time-saving practices you can incorporate into your morning with this 10 minute morning routine that will get your day started off right.

Read below to learn a few time-saving practices you can incorporate into your morning with this 10 minute morning routine that will get your day started off right.

But, before we continue…

Would you rather watch the video of this 10-Minute Morning Routine That Will Get Your Day Started Off Right?

Or listen to the audio of this 10-Minute Morning Routine That Will Get Your Day Started Off Right?

You can listen to the audio while you’re busy with something or read along

Minute 1 – Drink the Water

Start keeping a large glass of water beside your bed. Before you even get out of bed, drink the water. Your body is dehydrated after a long night of repairing itself, and you need to replenish that. Drinking water will also help reduce the morning fog and grog that follows so many into their workday despite multiple cups of coffee.

Minutes 2-3 – Do the Breathing

Now that your body is rehydrating take a few minutes to do simple breathing exercises. This is as easy as timing your breaths to take six to ten deep breaths through one minute. Timing your breaths will force you to focus on your breathing and your body. Helping you to wake up and calm yourself for your day.

Minutes 3-6 – Stretch the Body

Gentle stretching will get your blood flowing, and your body has woken up. This will also help to ease you into the process of getting ready and the day ahead. Stretching has long term benefits as well including better circulation and flexibility overall.

Minutes 6-9 – Give the Thanks

Take a few moments to reflect on what you are thankful for. You don’t have to write these down or keep a record on your phone. Just take a few moments to single in on aspects of your life you are thankful for and why. This will put a positive spin on your day and keep you present through the difficult moments.

Minute 10 – Visualize the Success

Visualizing the successes you wish to have through the day will cement them in your mind and help you to become more confident. These can be successes for the day (a successful meeting) or long-term successes (finishing that half marathon or saving up a down payment on a house).

Conclusion to 10 minute morning routine

You may not have hours to devote to morning routines, but maybe you can spare ten minutes of your morning to starting off on the right foot (or breath).

3 Truths About Being Kind We Need to Re-Remember

By Linda on February 16, 2022 0

3 Truths About Being Kind We Need to Re-Remember

It might surprise you to hear that being kind isn’t just good for the other person, it’s good for you too! Sceptical? Learn more about these 3 Truths About Being Kind We Need to Re-Remember in this post.

3 Truths About Being Kind We Need to Re-Remember
This image was created with Canva (aff)

There is good scientific evidence to show that living up to the adage of doing unto others as you would have them do to you is one of the best things you can do for yourself! (Matthew 7:12)

It lowers your blood pressure, improves your mood, and acts as a natural anti-depressant by boosting the serotonin levels in your brain.

But before we continue…

Rather want to watch these 3 Truths About Being Kind We Need to Re-Remember in video?

If you are more of a video person, I’ve got you covered. Here is the video of this post:

You can also listen to the 3 Truths About Being Kind We Need to Re-Remember

If you would rather listen to the audio while continuing something else or read the article while listening, I’ve got you covered too. Here is the audio of this post:

With that, let’s continue…

So, what can you do to stay in the right frame of mind to be kind? After all, being kind isn’t always easy. Some days you want to grit your teeth and just grumble at the world. And there are some people it’s tough to be kind to. How can you change your approach to life to be as kind as you can? Here are three truths to remember when you’re tempted to be unkind.

Remember what you can control and what you can’t

It’s a fact of life that other people can be rude, thoughtless, irritating, and even mean. They have opinions you don’t agree with. You can’t change or control any of that. But you can control how you react. Kindness is always the best option for you and the other guy. Take a deep breath, count to ten, and bite back that retort or putdown. Practice being kind, and soon it will be second nature.

Anger doesn’t help

Reacting with anger doesn’t do anything to resolve a bad situation. Anger makes you feel terrible. It’s likely to escalate things and won’t get you the result you want. Even worse, anger can lead to all sorts of physical problems, from headaches to high blood pressure, sleep problems, and digestive issues. A lifetime habit of anger can even lead to a stroke or a heart attack. Recognize the potential to get angry and take a step back.

Kindness is always the right option

Whatever the situation, you will never go wrong if you’re kind. Kindness also makes you an inspiring leader, a role model for others. Making the choice to be kind in the face of frustration, even provocation, shows that conflict is not inevitable. Giving in to childish feelings of needing to be right or get what you want all the time is easy. But it breeds discontent and won’t win you any friends.

Conclusion about being kind

Kindness breeds a more detached attitude to life, it encourages positive emotions and will help to make you and the people around you calmer, happier, and more energized.

The 3 Fundamentals of Self-Kindness

The 3 Fundamentals of Self-Kindness

In talking about the importance of kindness, it’s easy to forget that you have to start with being kind to yourself. Learn more how with these The 3 Fundamentals of Self-Kindness.

The 3 Fundamentals of Self-Kindness

How does it feel to hear that? Maybe it makes you uncomfortable. After all, you were probably brought up to think of others first, to be unselfish, to put your own needs behind other people’s.

But having real compassion means that you treat yourself the same way as you would a friend who was suffering.

Let’s take a look at the three fundamental elements of building compassion and learning self-kindness.

But before we move on, would you rather watch The 3 Fundamentals of Self-Kindness in a video?

If you prefer watching a video over reading, this is for you:

Or how about listening to The 3 Fundamentals of Self-Kindness?

If you would rather listen than read or listen while you read, here is the audio of this article just for you:

Let’s move on with this article:

Letting go of self-judgment

Listen to your self-talk for a moment. How are you feeling about the whole idea of self-kindness? Many people have a negative mixtape inside their heads that is full of judgment and self-criticism aimed at themselves. A negative loop that uses words they would never dream of saying to other people.

Developing self-compassion means letting go of perfectionism. It means being okay with making mistakes and even embracing failure.

Self-kindness acknowledges that life is full of ups and downs and that going through hard times isn’t necessarily someone’s fault. By accepting the reality of life and letting go of self-judgment, you will find calm and understanding.

Accepting that it’s not just you

One of the worst aspects of going through a tough time is feeling that you’re alone in your suffering. Be kind to yourself and acknowledge that being human means being imperfect and vulnerable. Bad times come and bad times go, and you’ll make it through. It happens to everyone because it’s part of the human condition.

So, take a deep breath, take a step back, and treat yourself gently until the storm has passed.

Seeking a middle ground

It can be tempting to fall into negativity when things don’t go your way. But try taking a mindful approach that acknowledges your feelings but doesn’t over-identify with them. Wallowing in your unhappiness or beating yourself up is unhelpful.

Mindfulness means taking a step back and observing what is happening without getting caught up in the emotions, or at the other end of the scale, trying to suppress or deny what you’re feeling.

Acknowledge your emotions and the situation you find yourself in, but also find some perspective. Consider what is happening in your life and compare your experience to what is happening in the world.

To develop genuine compassion, you must acknowledge your own pain and come from a place of acceptance for yourself so that you can offer it to other people.

5 Creative Ways to Calm a Chaotic Mind

5 Creative Ways to Calm a Chaotic Mind

Do you ever feel like you can’t escape your mind? Maybe it’s always spinning out of control, or perhaps you have a lot of thoughts. Here are 5 Creative Ways to Calm a Chaotic Mind to help you take control.

5 Creative Ways to Calm a Chaotic Mind
This Image was created with Canva (aff)

A lot of people experience chaos in their own minds, and this can make things difficult when you’re trying to work toward your goals. The next time your mind is filled with confusion, try one of these five creative ways to alleviate the stress.

But before we move over to these 5 Creative Ways to Calm a Chaotic Mind

Would you rather want to watch this article on video? Here is the video for your convenience:

Or how about listening to 5 Creative Ways to Calm a Chaotic Mind

If you like following along with the article or listen while you’re busy with something else, here is the audio:

1. Keep it Busy

There’s a delicate balance between keeping your mind busy without overcrowding it. It’s one thing to occupy your mind so it doesn’t wander, but it’s a whole different ball game when you start stressing out about endless to-do lists and information overload. Try to write 3-5 things you want to accomplish every day — and be sure to add at least one thing that is purely for fun. This will keep your mind busy without getting you too stressed.

2. Help Others

When was the last time you extended a helping hand to someone who needs it? Our brains tend to calm down when we’re in “helper mode” because the focus is on others rather than our own problems or stresses.

3. Pick up a Creative Hobby

We all have a creative side, whether it’s deep down or you’re continually flexing your creative muscles. Picking up a creative hobby gives your brain a nice, healthy break from the usual grind. Plus, it allows you to expand your intelligence with new forms of thinking. Win-win!

4. Care for your Physical Being

The mind and bodywork hand in hand a lot, so if you aren’t caring for your physical being, you may notice some stress going on in your head. Take time to care for your body — work out more, take a walk, draw a bath, or snooze your alarm clock. There are lots of ways to reenergize your body so that you can take on more in your mind!

5. Connect with Others

Helping others and connecting with other people are two totally different things, but both are essential aspects of cultivating an active, healthy mind. As humans, we need socialization. We thrive when we are part of a tribe. We crave human interaction time, so get out there and get social! Every laugh and bit of chatter will feed your mind in countless ways. Call a friend and have lunch in the park. It doesn’t have to be a big production, since the goal is simple human connection.

Even if you’re busy with something else, you can listen to the audio of this post or follow along with the post if you wish.

Here is the audio:

Now, let’s move on to Get Happy with Mindfulness…

It’s easy to get stuck in a negative mindset and stay focused on the things that aren’t working in your life. Your self-talk can become all about your weaknesses or failures. Negativity becomes your habitual way of thinking. Mindfulness can help you turn that around and get into a more positive thought pattern. As a bonus, mindfulness also has positive health benefits by reducing stress and enhancing your resilience and mental capacity.

Here are three ways mindfulness can help you out of the negativity spiral and into a happier state of mind.

Stay in the now

Practicing mindfulness can help you refocus your attention on the here and now instead of anxious fast-forwarding to future problems or brooding over past mistakes. Mindfulness slows you down and reconnects you with what is happening at the moment. You can notice and appreciate the good things that are in your life right now. Being mindful can also help you stop being reactive and instead be more thoughtful in how you respond to people and situations.

Be more connected

Mindfulness brings you into a deeper connection with yourself and with others. It gives you time and mental space to work out what matters to you, and what are your values and beliefs. You learn that happiness lies in knowing yourself and being comfortable with who you are.

And when you are your authentic self, you can connect honestly, openly and straightforwardly with other people. Relationships can become more profound and more heartfelt.

Enhance contentment and gratitude

One of the beautiful effects of mindfulness is the release from the treadmill of consumerism. You stop investing in externals for your happiness. Money, external approval, worldly success, and possessions no longer hold sway over your self-worth.

Mindfulness focuses your attention on what you can control. Living an authentic life, attuned and aligned with your values encourages and supports your inner wellbeing. Your happiness becomes self-sufficient.

If you struggle with gratitude, sign up for my free 7 Day Gratitude Challenge.

Get Happy with Mindfulness conclusion

Cultivating mindfulness can open your mind to feeling gratitude for where you are and what you have right now. ‘You are enough’ is not just a slogan, it is an affirmation that you can be your best you, and live the life you want.
